Michelle Folinas is an articling student at Tereposky & DeRose LLP. She assists with international trade matters, including Canadian anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, WTO dispute settlement, economic sanctions, public procurement and customs matters.
Michelle completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, Michelle obtained her B.A. from the University of Waterloo, where she specialized in legal studies and business, graduating with Distinction.
While at law school, Michelle represented the University of Ottawa at the 2021-2022 John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in WTO law. She was also the Co-President of Elephant in the Room, a student-run club focussed on promoting mental health in the legal profession, and a Research Assistant with the Centre for Law, Technology and Society. Prior her articles, Michelle spent part of her final semester as a Law Student Intern with the Senate of Canada.
